Brookline Modern Kitchen

1887 Condominium Renovation
For this urban condo nestled within a Victorian-era home, we renovated and reconfigured to maximize natural light. Bold, intentional finishes are presented in a relaxed color palette and in uncluttered layers that live harmoniously within the historic property.
The Right Profile

With several tricky spaces in a funky old building, our Brookline clients had suffered many failed attempts at this project with other designers. After finding Kathy via her Houzz profile, she turned up on site and immediately knew what to do: turn a skimpy bay window into a generous boxed bay with a window seat, limewash the existing exposed brick chimney with plastered range hood to match, and then check off every item on the clients' wish list from luxury high-end appliances and custom cabinetry to mid-century modern furnishings and a concealed cocktail bar. They loved it so much that they enlisted Kathy to help find and design their family beach house renovation on the Massachusetts' South Coast.

“This wallpaper in the dining area is a bold selection, and yet, because of the orderly pattern and calming colors, it's one the clients will never tire of seeing everyday. ”
